Juvenile Justice: Start Early
With crime rates rising, we are left wondering what is becoming of our youth. Why are they acting out so often? We are raising the best that we can, yet they bully others and often get away with it. Anti-bully programs are starting to pop up all over the place, which may help, but what will get the real results? Another adult wagging their finger at the bully or the thief? Or crime time in a juvenile detention center?
When kids are sent to juvenile detention centers, they are taught about the woes of going to a real jail. They tackle the wrongdoings of our youth and make them realize why it’s wrong. The teachers at juvenile detention centers also make them realize where they can very possibly end up if they don’t stop their actions now – prison.
Crime rates are constantly rising all over the world, and we need to do something about it. By starting these programs to mischievous youth today, we can help them to avoid a detrimental adulthood just a few short years down the line. Children often learn their lessons much quicker than adults do, so we should start them early while we can.
